About this tool
Encode any text to Base64 or decode Base64 back to text. Unlike naive encoders that corrupt non-ASCII characters, this tool converts through UTF-8 first, so emoji, Urdu, Hindi, Chinese and every other script round-trip perfectly. URL-safe mode produces Base64URL for JWTs and query strings, and files can be turned into a ready-to-use data URI.

Is Base64 encryption?
No, Base64 is an encoding, not encryption. Anyone can decode it; never use it to 'protect' secrets.

Yes, text is converted through UTF-8, so all Unicode characters survive the round trip.
What is URL-safe Base64?
Base64URL replaces + with - and / with _ and drops = padding, so the result can sit in URLs and JWTs. Decoding here accepts both forms automatically.
