Privacy Policy
VulnerabilityTools.com ("we", "our") provides a free website security and SEO scanner. This policy explains what information we collect when you use it, and what we do with it — in plain language.
1. Information we collect
- Website URLs you submit for scanning. To scan a site we must fetch it, so the address you enter is processed by our scanner.
- Your IP address. We log it temporarily for rate limiting and abuse prevention (keeping the service fast and available for everyone).
- Scan reports. Each finished scan produces a report derived from publicly accessible information about the scanned website. Reports are stored so that share links keep working.
2. Information we do NOT collect
- There are no accounts and no signup, so we don't ask for your name, email address, or any profile information.
- We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage of the site (pages visited, device type, approximate region). It sets its own cookies and processes data under Google's Privacy Policy; you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't sell your information to anyone, ever.
3. Third-party services
To perform its checks, the scanner sends the submitted website URL to a small number of third-party services, for example Google PageSpeed Insights (speed checks), urlscan.io, VirusTotal, URLhaus and Spamhaus (malware and reputation checks). Those services process the URL under their own privacy policies. We don't send them any personal information about you — only the address of the site being scanned.
4. How long we keep data
Scan reports are kept so that report links you share keep working. IP logs used for rate limiting are short-lived. If you want a report deleted, email us at contact@vulnerabilitytools.com with the report link and we'll remove it.
5. Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or object to how we process it, by emailing contact@vulnerabilitytools.com. We'll respond to reasonable requests.
6. Children's privacy
This service is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
7. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use of the scanner after changes means you accept the updated policy.
